Awesome post! That Emma Watson appears in Oxford sounds like the most normal thing, lol. Now where is Daniel Radcliffe hiding?

She is from Oxford and I think was still in secondary school there at the time.... just hanging out in front of McDonalds with a couple of mates like a normal 14 year old. Weirdly, that same year I also bumped into Robert Pattinson in a bar in London (this was after Harry Potter but before he hit mega-fame with Twilight). He was utterly lovely.

Wow, I hadn't realized it was that long ago! I assumed it was during the Harry Potter movies or something. I bumped into Jesse Eisenberg around 12yrs ago (who starred with Kristen Stewart in several movies).

EPIC post, Jill - I loved every word! It's taken me a while to get to this fabulous post - today's been the first day since the weekend that I've had time to myself to properly dive into beautiful writing here on Substack, and I'd saved this lovely long read for this evening. WOW!

Your map of Oxford is a work of genius! 'Grass you must never step on.' 'Spot where I saw Emma Watson and asked her to sign my McDonald's napkin.' 'Rats frolicking.' LOVE, LOVE, LOVE (well, maybe not the rats themselves, but I love that you've included them! What fabulousness to have documented not only locations but also experiences in this way.

The post I have scheduled next, actually, is about maps - but it sure doesn't measure up to this one! 🤣

Oh Rebecca 💖 thank you so much. I can't wait to read yours and I don't believe you for a SECOND that it doesn't measure up (but very kind of you to say). The map was so fun to draw I'm thinking every post needs a map now.... xx
