More Brooklyn, experiments in perspective and capturing the essence of an afternoon, from two different sets of eyes — plus three questions that will forever remain unanswered.
Great idea to have both of your perspectives! With all your senses heightened, I find myself wondering if this is how my brain should function and did when I was younger. I find interacting with my children a challenge though, so am curious to know how you got on when yours joined you from Yonkers. I'm going to be puzzling over the riddle of that toilet for some time!
You do not want to know how things panned out.. 🤣 The cola drink did help though. That toilet was clearly the portal to another dimension, from which we were lucky to return.
Immersive. Where would we (as a species, or at least a few of us anyway) be without "a certain narrative unreliability"? I can't trust the other kind. Coollest employ of "Notes"... Gracias!
This is a great read! So funny. So creative. So good! Having two different perspectives was a great idea. And setting the piece up with a jet lagged/ stoner comparison was very engaging.
I enjoyed this one a lot. There’s nothing quite like a stoned stroll through a big city.
We’ve got legal cannabis over here in Canada, controlled by the gov’t and etc, and it’s... nice. There’s some downsides but making cannabis illegal feels absurd to me at this point.
